Yoga Classes Description
The various forms of yoga widely being practice today are derived from traditional Hatha yoga, the syllabus hatha composed of two components:ha-tha meaning sun and moon receptively, therefore the practice of this vigorous form yoga creates harmony between two opposites. We offer Hatha yoga in following methods:
Yoga the Iyengar way
This method has been found by the legendary yoga teacher Mr. BKS Iyengar, the master of the art, philosophy and the science of the Yoga. Iyengar yoga is famous for it’s emphasise on anatomical alignment, correct sequencing, and concept of timings.
Correct sequencing means practicing asanas in particular sequences to create a powerful cumulative effect on both body and mind.
The concept of timings means postures are held for considerable lengths of time to let the effects of the poses penetrate deeper within the individual.
Mr Iyengar has developed the use of props to help the body getting into the correct positions required, and to add benefits to therapeutic aspects of Yoga.
Our Alignment yoga classes has a strong influence of the teachings of Sri BKS Iyengar.
Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga
This dynamic form of yoga synchronises breath and movement through a set series of asanas (postures). This combination creates intense heat, and thereby rids the body of toxins, removes impurities, and creates vibrant physical, mental and spiritual wellness. The Ashtanga Series of Pattabhi Jois contains ‘Six Series’ of postures; Primary series, Intermediate series and Advanced A,B,C,D series.
A series of flowingly connecting postures , emphasises on creating a rhythm of breath and movement , this dynamic form of yoga can be gentle to vigorous is perfect for intense mind and body workout.
This gentle practice emphasises on restoring the inner wellness, the yoga props are used (boosters, blankets, belts and eye pillows etc. ) , allowing you to open your body through consciously pacified postures held for certain duration of time. This form of yoga helps to calm the central nervous system, and gives a better resistance to stress, anxiety. Body functions are rejuvenated, and refreshes the mind & body.
Personal classes allow students of all levels to explore specific areas of their interest such as alignment in asanas, meditation, philosophy or therapeutic work. Generally some time is spent in discussion, assessing abilities and objectives, learning how to listen to the body’s signals and develop a steady personal practice on/off the mat.
The students can enhance their yoga practice in a way that is not necessarily attainable in group classes.
